Painting Trees
How could you characterize their styles, and what impact does that have on you (an audience member)?
The first video was mainly to bring laughter to the audience. Following that the next two videos were meant to be for a mature and sophisticated audience as you need to be patient to paint and take your time to get things perfect. The last video had various painters with individual styles, but in order to make Sleeping Beauty flow, they each helped each other to succeed and meet the time era.
And, most importantly, how have they described their moves? Be specific.
Bob Ross explained his moves while he was painting in order for the audience to be able to paint with him. He specified what specific size brushes to use as well as the type of paint that he was using. The 4 artists video was less specific and just showed each individual painter as they painted and explained their preferred style of painting.
What decisions did these artists make? What similarities/differences between their decisions did you see?
The decisions that these artists made similarly was knowing their background and catering their painting to the background of the painting. Each however, had their own individual style of painting. The 4 artists also worked together, so they were able to ask each other for help whereas Bob Ross could not ask anyone for help since he was alone.
